Axel’s Garage recently had the opportunity to inspect and professionally appraise this C1 Corvette, and with the owner’s permission, we are now helping showcase the vehicle to serious prospective buyers.

Finished in white with red accents and coves, with a red and white interior, this Corvette presents as a largely complete, driver-quality example with the unmistakable styling that made the first-generation Corvette such an important part of American automotive history.

The vehicle is equipped with a replacement/non-original Chevrolet small-block V8, an automatic transmission, factory-style wheel covers, period-style Goodyear Polyglas tires and a removable hardtop.

The odometer currently displays 28,372.1 miles, with total mileage considered unknown.

Condition

This Corvette is best described as a driver-quality collector vehicle rather than a concours or numbers-matching example.

The vehicle is largely complete but does show age-related wear and cosmetic deterioration consistent with an older collector car. Items noted during inspection include paint cracking, flaking and chips, incomplete exterior trim, wear to the driver’s seat upholstery, missing passenger-side interior door trim, aged weatherstripping and cracking/scratching to the removable hardtop rear window.

The engine is a replacement/non-original Chevrolet small-block V8. Engine displacement and production identification could not be independently verified during inspection. The specific automatic transmission type and rear differential identification were also not independently verified.

These points have been openly disclosed so prospective purchasers have a clear understanding of the vehicle prior to making further inquiries.
