The new offering, called Axel’s Garage Insider, delivers monthly reports focused on vehicle values, emerging trends, and buyer guidance based on actual appraisal work conducted across Alberta.
Owner and appraiser Axel Axmann says the idea came from a growing disconnect between asking prices and real market values.
“What I see every day in the field is very different from what people see online,” said Axmann. “There’s a gap between what vehicles are listed for and what they’re actually worth. This is about helping people understand that difference.”
The subscription includes:
- Monthly value reports on specific vehicles
- Market trend analysis
- Insights from real-world appraisals
- Buyer guidance on what to watch for before purchasing
Unlike general automotive content, the reports are grounded in hands-on inspections and current regional market conditions, offering a practical perspective for buyers, sellers, and collectors.
The first report, released this month, focuses on the 1998 Chevrolet 1500 Z71, highlighting current value ranges in Alberta and key factors affecting pricing in the late-1990s truck market.
Axmann notes that interest in vehicles from this era is beginning to grow as earlier classics become less accessible.
“We’re starting to see a shift. Buyers are moving into late 90s trucks as older models climb out of reach. There’s opportunity there, but only if you understand what you’re looking at.”
The launch of Axel’s Garage Insider represents an expansion of the company’s services, complementing its core appraisal offerings with ongoing market intelligence.
